Building a billing engine is a hassle. It requires many hours of coding and testing and if things go wrong – you’re in trouble. We like recurring billing and we like the SaaS model. We knew most of our products would be built on this infrastructure so we decided to create a stand-alone billing engine. We’ve now reworked this and are offering it to anyone who wants to build a service with subscription billing.
All you need to do is drop in your gateway information, integrate your product with our API and you’re done. We handle the billing, upgrades, downgrades, failed credit cards, invoices etc..
Don’t worry we don’t touch your money at all! Our gateway integration allows the money to go straight into your account. Frulo is simply the logic that handles this process.

We’re not trying to be the be the most dynamic billing system. We just want to do subscription billing and do it well.

What does it do?
It ’s a virtual desktop which enables you to create shortcuts to websites and online applications.
Why did we build it?
Majority of the software we use at Platform45 follows the software as a service model. This means that instead of downloading and installing software on our computers, the software is hosted by the provider and we access it through a standard web browser. Just as you would create shortcuts to your applications on your desktop, we’ve created a virtual desktop to store shortcuts to your SaaS applications.
How do I use it?
- Choose an application from the list. (if you use one that isn’t here please let us know and we’ll add it)
- Enter a name and your URL to the service

- The shortcut will appear on your desktop. Click “launch” to access your service.

- Finally save your LaunchDeck and add more applications.

Start building your LaunchDeck here.
This application was conceptualized, designed and developed as part of our one-day app challenge.

On Saturday I attended a women’s “business networking” conference in Century City. I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed myself although it was not quite what I expected.
I expected to be welcomed and surrounded by strong successful women. I envisioned a room filled with self-starting entrepreneurs, ambitious and inspiring business women that stood against the female stereotype. Many by now are thinking “Hmmm… the female stereotype you say – touchy subject!” And yes it is a taboo subject for some. But I’m going to take advantage of the fact that this is a blog, which allows me to right my own opinions without fear of judgment. [click to continue...]

I have spent the last week looking at a dozen potential office spaces. The process has been painful, to say the least. Commercial estate agents are no different to the domestic kind, eager to talk about everything from their pets to their new car to their health record. Its a struggle to remain polite in the face of such trivial chatter with the deadline to find new space drawing closer. Here are some tips for the rookie seeker. [click to continue...]

What is personality? Mainstream psychology textbooks define personality as an individual’s unique constellation of consistent behavioural traits, a durable disposition to behave in a particular way across a variety of situations. To simplify the concept even further, a leading personality model asserts that most of these traits are derived from five higher-order traits: extroversion, neuroticism, openness to experience, agreeableness and conscientiousness.
